A makeover for Vijay?

Yes, you read it right. Although Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay is famous for rarely donning new looks or trying out different styles, it is said that the actor considered trying out a new avatar for his look in Shankar's multi-starrer, 'Nanban'.

However, he was unable to proceed with this new hairstyle due to his commitment to Jayam Raja's 'Velayudham' that is all geared up for an August release. This film is a commercial action-masala entertainer and sees Vijay opposite Hansika Motwani, with Genelia playing a television reporter. It showcases how a commoner is forced to don the role of a superhero to save humanity and his own family.

This look is said to have been a cool and funky one and the trial seemed to have impressed the whole crew, but Ilaya Thalapathi couldn't continue with it. However, we must note that Jiiva sports a whole-new-look for 'Nanban', with long kurta pajamas, hands filled with finger rings to each please a God and what not.

Who can ever forget the kind of changes Shankar brings in the look of each star for his films? What if Vijay couldn't sport a makeover through his hair style, through his wardrobe makeover, right from a backpack to some handsome young t-shirts, we can already see a young avatar of Ilaya Thalapathi from the pictures of 'Nanban', true to his role as a college student in this film.

படப்பிடிப்பை முடித்து விட்டு ஹன்சிகா காரில் ஏறிப் புறப்பட்ட சில வினாடிகளில், அந்தப் பகுதியில் சக்திவாய்ந்த குண்டு வெடித்துள்ளது. இதனால் அதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக உயிர் தப்பினார். உடனடியாக உறவினர்களையும் நண்பர்களையும் டெலிபோனில் தொடர்பு கொண்டு பேசினார்.

தான் பாதுகாப்பாக இருப்பதாக தெரிவித்தார். கடவுள் அருளால் தப்பினேன் என்று அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

குண்டுவெடிப்பு குறித்து இயக்குநர் ராஜேஷ் கூறுகையில், "படப்பிடிப்பை முடித்து விட்டு ஹன்சிகா வீடு சென்ற வழியில்தான் குண்டு வெடிப்பு நடந்துள்ளது. நாங்கள் அனைவரும் படப்பிடிப்பு நடந்த இடத்திலேயே இருந்ததால் ஆபத்திலிருந்து தப்பினோம்," என்றார்.

Following closely on the heels of Ileana is the tall and gorgeous Anushka Shetty. This beauty, who was a yoga instructor before her venture into films, also had for her student Nagchaitnya because of whom she is in the industry today. Anushka, reports reveal, charges close to a crore for acting in a film and the girl seems pretty happy to associate with Telugu and Tamil films.

Chirpy and lively Genelia, in Kollywood, has 'Velayudham' with Vijay which is gearing for release. In Bollywood she will be seen opposite John Abraham in 'Force' which happens to be the Hindi version of Gautham Menon's 'Kaaka Kaaka.'

Tamannah Bhatia seems to be evading Kollywood all of a sudden. The lass who once used to be in almost all the films churning out of Kollywood now just saw one new release in Tamil, 'Venghai.' Though we are quite unaware as to why Tammie is being low-key in Tamil, she seems to be having a couple of releases in Tollywood. She is said to be charging around 70 lakhs for a film.

The latest and the most happening thing, in Kollywood as well as Tollywood at the moment, happens to be the bubbly, cherubic Hansika Motwani. Being a part of two films in Kollywood with 'Maappillai' opposite National Award winner Dhanush and 'Engeyum Kaadhal' with Jayam Ravi, the Sindhi girl has two more films lined up for her in Tamil. One is 'Velayudham' with Vijay and the other being 'Oru Kaal Oru Kannadi' with Udhayanidhi Stalin. Although a few claim Hansika takes only a very nominal fee, reliable sources suggest Hansika gets more than half a crore rupees as her salary.

The reason could perhaps be the release of ‘Engeyum Kadhal’, as I am expecting a lot out of the film. It’s my best performance till date,” she says. Hansika plays Lolita in ‘Engeyum Kadhal’, a girl of Indian origin who was born and brought up in Paris, the capital city of France. “It is an interesting character and I have got enough scope to perform,” she says. Hansika Motwani is a gaming pro

Actress Hansika Motwani seems to be enjoying her stint as a star on the rise in Kollywood, with two back-to-back releases, Mapillai and Engeyum Kaadhal.

But the hardworking youngster likes to strike a balance between work and play. She recently revealed that she was addicted to a few games on her tablet PC.

"I am a huge fan of Tetris (the brick game) and poker. Whenever I get some free time, I just play these games as they help me relax and unwind instantly."

While the actress hasn't yet latched on to the phenomenal Angry Birds, which has turned into a recreational addiction for many, she does confess that she enjoys facing off with her bro in FIFA on their console back home.
